HOLD ON, PEACE BEGINS.

Hope is the
heartbeat of
New Beginnings.

At the Chelly & Cam Hope Foundation, we provide more than shelter – we offer healing homes for youth aging out of foster care. Our transitional living program and mental health support services help young adults build safe, stable, and empowered futures.

We believe that every young person deserves a chance to heal, grow, and thrive with dignity, community, and the resources to succeed.

Even the darkest night will end, and the sun will rise.

We aim to provide hope, housing, and holistic support to youth aging out of foster care.

At the Chelly & Cam Hope Foundation, our mission is to provide hope, housing, and healing for young adults aging out of foster care and individuals impacted by mental illness.

We offer safe transitional living environments paired with mental health education, support, and access to care. Our goal is to break the cycle of homelessness, trauma, and untreated mental health conditions by empowering youth with the tools, resources, and community they need to thrive. Through compassion and commitment, we strive to create pathways to independence, resilience, and lasting recovery.

OUR VISION

We envision a world where every young adult aging out of foster care — and every person facing mental health challenges — is met with dignity, understanding, and opportunity.

A world where transitional housing is a bridge to a better future, not a barrier, and where mental wellness is embraced without stigma.

Our vision is to build strong, supportive communities where hope is restored, healing is possible, and no one is left behind — creating a future where everyone has a place to belong and a chance to succeed.

Let's Change the Conversation.

The Chelly & Cam Hope Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing hope, healing, and housing for young adults navigating life after foster care and individuals facing mental health challenges such as depression, trauma, addiction, and suicidal thoughts.

Our mission is to motivate, educate, and uplift — while providing safe transitional housing, mental health support, and access to treatment and recovery resources. We aim to be a bridge to stability, offering not only a place to stay, but also the tools and support needed to thrive.

We are committed to expanding access to evidence-based care, creating a positive and empowering community, and dismantling the stigma around mental illness — especially in underserved and underrepresented populations.

Through our housing programs, mental health partnerships, and community outreach, we’re changing the conversation:

From survival to stability,

From stigma to support,

From hopelessness to healing.

Your Path to Stability, Healing, & Hope

Transitioning into adulthood can be overwhelming especially for young adults leaving foster care or facing mental health challenges. At the Chelly & Cam Hope Foundation, we understand that recognizing when help is needed is a powerful first step toward change.

Our transitional housing program offers more than just a roof  it provides a stable, supportive environment where young people can begin to heal emotionally, mentally, and physically. For many, this safe space becomes the foundation for receiving a mental health diagnosis, starting therapy, or building life skills for independence.

Because mental illness often lacks visible signs, our trained staff and licensed partners work closely with residents to recognize symptoms, provide assessments, and guide them through personalized treatment and recovery plans.

Delivering Compassionate, Life-Changing Support.

At the Chelly & Cam Hope Foundation, we are committed to providing safe, healing-centered transitional housing combined with mental health support for young adults navigating life after foster care or experiencing emotional and psychological challenges.

A LETTER FROM SHAREE JORDAN

Hello, beautiful community—

My name is Sharee Jordan, and everything we do at the Chelly & Cam Hope Foundation is stitched together from my own life’s Truth. its joy, its heartbreak, and its hard-won hope.

Why Transitional Housing?

I entered foster care at an age when home should have meant safety. Instead, every move felt like starting over—new faces, new rules, new fears. I remember nights spent wondering where I’d wake up next and days spent pretending the uncertainty didn’t hurt.

That instability followed me into adulthood, and I promised myself that no young person aging out of care would ever feel as lost as I once did if I could help it. Our transitional homes are my promise in action—warm, stable spaces where 18- to 21-year-olds can breathe, belong, and build a future on their own terms.

Why Mental Health?

At thirteen, my son—a bright, funny kid who loved video games and science—was suddenly swallowed by psychosis. One day he was planning a school project; the next he couldn’t separate reality from terror.

For a year I knocked on doors that never fully opened, piecing together care while holding him through the night. Eventually, placing him in a specialized program saved his life—but the guilt and isolation nearly shattered mine.

When he came home at fifteen, I had become two things:

  1. A mother determined never to let another family feel that alone.

  2. A fierce advocate who understood that housing and healing go hand-in-hand.

Today my son is eighteen, living with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder—still funny, still brilliant, still teaching me daily what resilience looks like. Watching him fight for normalcy showed me that recovery requires community, structure, and relentless love—the very pillars we weave into every service we offer.

Our Purpose, Your Place

So, when you step through the doors of a Chelly & Cam home, know that every bedroom is a reply to a foster child's silent prayer for stability. Every counseling session is a lifeline I once begged for in emergency rooms... and every workshop is a roadmap I wish someone had handed me when I was eighteen.

We exist because lived experience taught us where the cracks are—and because love demands we stand in those gaps.

If you’re a young adult aging out of foster care, a parent lost in the maze of mental illness, or an ally longing to help, please hear me:

You are not your diagnosis.

You deserve a safe home while you heal.

You have a community here, ready to walk every uncertain mile with you.

With unwavering hope,

Sharee Jordan

Mental Health & Home: Check on the Ones We Love

Mental illness is an ongoing battle—a silent struggle far too many face alone. As a mother, a former foster youth, and the founder of the Chelly & Cam Hope Foundation, I pray daily for miracles and walk in faith that healing is possible when we surround one another with love and stability.

But love can’t flourish without a safe place to call home.

For young adults aging out of foster care, the transition to adulthood can magnify mental-health challenges. Without consistent housing, it’s hard to keep therapy appointments, take medication on schedule, or simply exhale in peace. That’s why our foundation pairs supportive transitional housing with evidence-based mental-health care: so no one has to fight in the dark or sleep on a friend’s couch while trying to heal.

How You Can Help

  • Mother to Mother, Friend to Friend:
Ask how they’re sleeping. Offer a ride to an appointment. Remind them they deserve both a roof and relief.

  • Family to Family:
Learn the warning signs—withdrawal, drastic mood changes, substance use, or talk of hopelessness. Early recognition saves lives.

  • Community to Community:
Advocate for transitional-housing programs that include mental-health services. Stable homes create fertile ground for recovery.

If someone you love is struggling, reach out with a listening ear and, when needed, a gentle nudge toward professional help—therapy, medication management, peer support, or a safe residence like ours. Together we can weave a safety net so strong that no youth—or parent—falls through.

Let’s change the conversation from “What’s wrong with you?” to “How can we hold you up?”

Because healing takes a village.

Because every young person deserves a door that locks, a bed that’s theirs, and a heart that understands.

Let’s transform stigma into solutions.

Youth & Young Adults

Young people aging out of foster care often face trauma, housing insecurity, and undiagnosed mental illness. We provide transitional housing and mental health resources to help them build stable, independent lives—with dignity and support.

The Criminal Justice System

Too many individuals battling untreated mental illness end up behind bars instead of receiving help. We advocate for alternatives to incarceration—like therapy, housing, and rehabilitation—that support true recovery and reintegration into society.

Suicide Prevention is Crucial

Suicide is a leading cause of death among young adults—especially those facing isolation, trauma, or systemic neglect. By offering safe spaces, community, and access to care, we create life-affirming environments where healing is possible and hope is restored.
